Irene Cronk Passes Away
Returned Home from Oakdale Six Weeks Ago
Last Rites Friday P.M.
The H.W. Cronk home was saddened early this morning by the death of Miss Irene Cronk, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Cronk, who has been an invalid for several years. Had she lived until June 18, she would have celebrated her eighteenth birthday.

Miss Cronk came to Estherville with her parents several years ago from Fort Dodge and attended the local schools as long as her health permitted. She was taken to the sanitarium in Oakdale a little over a year ago but was allowed to return home six weeks ago when physicians advised her parents they could do nothing for her.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 at the Cronk home and at 2 at the Christian chrch with the Rev. Otis Lang, pastor of the Immanuel Lutheran church in charge. Burial will be in Eastside cemetery.

She is survived by her parents and one brother, Milton, who is at home, and one sister, Mrs. Ed Allen of Bigelow, Minn. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, June 10, 1937)
