Wallingford – Services for Bernard Lewis Osher, 69, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, at the Wallingford Lutheran Church with the Rev. Virgil Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. He died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 1988 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 4 – 9 p.m. Thursday.

Osher was born November 3, 1918 at Wallingford, the son of Lewis and Emma (Christopher) Osher, and attended Estherville Schools. On September 11, 1949 he was united in marriage with Margaret Refsell at Wallingford. He lived his entire life in Emmet County where he was engaged in farming until his retirement in 1978. The couple moved into Wallingford in 1981. Osher was a member of Wallingford Lutheran Church, where he sang in the church choir and men’s quartet.

Survivors include his wife Margaret, Wallingford; one son Paul and wife Cindy, Jackson, Minn. and one daughter Mrs. Jerry (Susan) Posey, rural Estherville; five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 4, 1988)
