Estherville – Services for Ruby A. [Angeline] Olson, 93, of Estherville will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Estherville Lutheran Church with Pastor Kermit Rye and Pastor Arlyn Norris officiating. Interment will be in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. She died Wednesday, Nov. 2, 1994 at Rosewood Mano Care Center. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home of Estherville is in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 16, 1901 at Iowa Falls, the daughter of Edward and Cora (Porter) Kessling and attended Iowa Falls School graduating from Iowa Falls High School. She attended Ellsworth College and received her teaching certificate. She taught one year at Blairsburg and in 1920 moved to Wallingford where she taught country school. Following her marriage to Lloyd Olson on Nov. 24, 1921 at Iowa Falls, the couple farmed near Wallingford until 1949 when they purchased a farm north of Estherville. In 1953 they moved into Estherville. She was a resident of Hilltop Nursing Home from Aug. 1991 until moving to Rosewood Manor in Aug. 1992.

She was a past member of Wallingford Lutheran Church and a present member of Estherville Lutheran; past president of ELCW, Sunday School teacher and circle member.

Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Lundy, Estherville and Mrs. Mons (Shirley) Teig of Plymouth, Minn.; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law Norman Olson of Estherville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband who died June 20, 1993, daughter, granddaughter and sister. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 5, 1994)
