Estherville – Services for Kenneth A. Olson, 70, of Estherville, will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Pastor Jack Peterson officiating. Interment will be in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. He died Thursday, July 14, 1994 at Holy Family Hospital.

Visitation will be Sunday 4-7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.

He was born July 14, 1924 at Wallingford, the son of Jeffrey and Bertha (Nelson) Olson. He remained single. He lived most of his life in Emmet County. He was handicapped all his life. He lived at Woodyard State Hospital and Emmet County Farm. He had worked at Echo a number of years before retiring. On July 9, 1980 he became a resident of Rosewood Manor Care Center in Estherville.

Survivors include his mother, Bertha Olson of Wallingford; a sister, Beverly Felkey, of Wallingford; a brother-in-law, Dale Young, Wallingford; aunts and uncles: Lila and Wayne Bryan and Bob Martyr of Estherville; Gilford Osher of Wallingford; Palma Pool and Laverne Nelson of Albert Lea, Minn.; Dr. Sidney and Margie Brownstone of Fargo, N.D. and Esther Olson of Salem, Ore.; nieces nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Dolores Young, five aunts and two sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 16, 1994)
