Rites Held for John A. Olson
John A. [Adolph] Olson, 86, Wallingford, died at 7 p.m. Friday [November 14, 1970] at Lakeside Lutheran Home in Emmetsburg of complications of advanced age. He had been a resident of the home for the past two years.

He was born Oct. 17, 1884, in Norway. He was educated in Norway and moved to the United States when he was 23 years of age.

He had lived in the Wallingford area for about 60 years, where he did farm work in the area and was employed by Mr. and Mrs. John C. Larsen, where he later made his home. After their deaths, he made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Trygve, Larsen, John Larsen’s son, before entering the Lutheran Home.

He was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran church. He never married.

There are no known survivors, either in this county of in Norway.

Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Wallingford Lutheran church with the Rev. John Pannkuk officiating. Burial was in the Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers were Chester Anderson, Ernest Syverson, Trygve Larsen, Lester Larsen, Allan Larsen and William Larsen. Reese-Henry Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
