Estherville – Services for Krestine Nielsen, 91, will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Henry and Olson Funeral Chapel, Estherville, with Pastor Virgil Anderson of the Wallingford Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in the Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. She died Monday, April 22, 1985 at Holy Family Hospital.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Krestine Flint was born June 3, 1893 at Ringsted, the daughter of A. J. and Semina (Gregersen) Flint. She attended Ringsted Grade School. On April 7, 1914, she was united in marriage with Niels K. Nielsen at Ringsted. The couple farmed all their married life, first near Ringsted, then Halfa and moved to the Wallingford area in 1928. She lived on the farm until 1953 when she moved in to Wallingford. She has lived in Estherville several years.

Survivors include one son Bernard Nielsen, Wallingford and a daughter Mrs. Rosa Nielsen, Ringsted; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Nels Flint, Emily, Minn. and one sister Mrs. Carrie Meyers, Humboldt, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 28, 1951; parents; one son, Thorvald, a daughter, Linda (Mrs. Nordien) Peterson; four sisters and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 24, 1985)
