Former Resident of Emmet County
Iver E. [Elvin] Nelson, 42, a former resident of Emmet county, died at 11:50 a.m., April 4, at the St. Mary’s hospital at Wausau, Wis. Mr. Nelson had been ill with cancer for some time preceding his death.

He is survived by his widow; two daughters, Helen of Wausau and Alice of Albert Lea, Minn.; his mother, Mrs. Olina Nelson, 82, Wallingford; three sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Refsell, Robindsdale, Minn.; Mrs. Selmer Dybdall, Wallingford, and Miss Alma Nelson, Wallingford; and six brothers, L.B. Nelson, Wallingford, James Nelson, Wallingford, J.A. Nelson, Luverne, Ben Nelson, Estherville, Oscar Nelson, Fort Dodge and Norris Nelson, Fort Dodge.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Olina Nelson, Wallingford, and at 2 p.m. at the Wallingford Lutheran church. Rites will be conducted by the Rev. Peder Nordsletten. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Wallingford.

Mr. Nelson was born in Jack Creek township and lived in Emmet county until 1918, when he moved to Wausau. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 6, 1940)

Mrs.Loyd Refsell of Minneapolis, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Nelson and family of Luverne, Mr. and Mrs. Norris Nelson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Nelson and family of Fort Dodge were here last week to attend the funeral of their brother, Iver Nelson, who died at his home in Wausau, Wis.
