Estherville – Services for Julia Myhre, 96, Estherville, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Wallingford Lutheran Church with Pastor Virgil Anderson officiating. Interment will be in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery. She died Friday, April 22, 1994 at Good Samaritan Center, Estherville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born May 22, 1897 at Wallingford, the daughter of L.L. and Tilda (Bendickson) Nelson. She attended rural Emmet County School. On Feb. 22, 1922 she married Archie Myhre in her parents home in Wallingford. The couple farmed near Wallingford and retired in July 1968 and moved to Estherville. She has been a resident at Good Samaritan Center the past two years. She was a member of Wallingford Lutheran Church, W.L.C.W. and the Wallingford American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sisters: Mrs. Harry (Sylvia) Balmer of Edina,Minn. and Blanche Larson of Monroe, Ohio, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband April 13, 1973; her parents and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 23, 1994)
