Alfred Lofblom Dies; Services to Be Saturday
Wallingford – Alfred Henry Lofblom, 88, died yesterday at 2:45 p.m. at Holy Family Hospital from complications of advanced age. He had been ill more than two years.

He was born Feb. 5, 1882, at Atlanta, Mo., to John and Anna Lofblom. He was educated in the Atlanta schools.

On May 23, 1917, he was married to Dena Haugen at Terril. They farmed in Dickinson County until he retired in 1949 and moved to Wallingford.

He was a longtime member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dena; one daughter, Mrs. Sherman (Clara) Gunderson of Estherville; two grandsons, David and Gary, both of Mankato, Minn.; one great-grandson, Mark, of Mankato; and one sister, Mrs. Sylvia Maloney, Macon, Mo.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wallingford Lutheran Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery at Wallingford.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the Fuhrman Funeral Home at Estherville until 11 a.m. Saturday when the body will be taken to the church.

Due to the illness of Rev. John Pannkuk, Sr., Rev. Robert Fitzgerald of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Estherville will officiate.

Pallbearers are Amos Egeland, Jamie Kasa, Stan Young, LeRoy Schacherer, Chester Anderson and Ralph
