Graveside Services Saturday for Former Area Resident
Graveside services and interment for Andrew Larson, 77, who farmed for a number of years in Jack Creek Township and the Wallingford area, will be held at the family plot in the Wallingford Cemetery Saturday at 10 a.m. The Rev. L.A. Mathre will officiate. Mr. Larson died Jan. 1, 1962, at Gardner, N.D. and memorial services were held at the Hanson---msvold Chapel at Fargo, N.D., on that day with the Rev. M.L. Harmann officiating. Mr. Larson was the son of Lars and Torborg Larson. He was born in Cass County, Feb. 25, 1885. Mr. Larson moved in 1914 from Wallingford to Gardner where he lived until his death, except in recent years when he spent winters elsewhere. Last year he spent the winter months in Estherville.He is survived by a sister, Lilly, who has lived with him for many years; his twin brother, Joseph, and another brother, Lewis Larson of Spencer; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 17, 1962)
Lilly Larson, Joe Larson and John Post left this morning to return to their home at --, N.D. after having brought the body of their brother and uncle, Andrew Larson, here for burial in the Lutheran Cemetery at Wallingford. Mr. Larson was a former resident of this community. While here Miss Larson, Mr. Post and Joe Larson were all guests in the A.R. Espeset home. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 24, 1962)
