Estherville – Services for Henry Martin Larsen, 94, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran church with Pastor Marcia L. Hall officiating. Interment will be in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery with full military service by Estherville V.F.W. and American Legion Posts. He died Wednesday, May 23, 1990 at Rosewood Manor.

Visitation will be at the church only from 12 noon to time of service. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born Dec. 16, 1895 near Graettinger, the son of Mads and Hansine (Westergard) Larsen and attended Graettinger school graduating from high school in 1914. On Aug. 2, 1922 he married Ada Storhow at Estherville. Following marriage they moved to LaGrange, Ill. where they lived 38 years and he worked as a Development Engineer for Western Electric. After retiring in 1960, they returned to Estherville where they have lived since. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 91; charter member of Emmet County Historical Society where he had served as president and also on Board of Directors and served as architect for the Albee Museum.

Survivors include his wife, Ada; one daughter Dorothy and husband, Rev. Ralph Rusley, Fargo, N.D.; two sons: Kenneth Larsen, Ellington, Mo. and Dr. Stanley Larsen, St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and four sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, May 26, 1990)
