Wallingford – Tilda Andrena Kasa, 93, Wallingford, died at her home Thursday morning [December 28, 1978] following a lingering illness of over three years.

Services for Mrs. Kasa will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at the Wallingford Lutheran Church with the Rev. Virgil R. Anderson officiating. There will also be a 1:30 p.m. family service at the church. Interment will be in Wallingford Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at Fuhrman Funeral Home, Estherville, until noon Saturday.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Jacobson, she was born May 22, 1885, at Estherville. She received her education in Estherville and attended Waldorf College, Forest City.

She taught one term at the Butler School, two terms at Spring Grove and one term at the Larson and Peterson schools. She was married to Jamie Kasa on Oct. 11, 1911, at her home and the couple farmed four years near Wallingford before moving to North Dakota and later to Minnesota. They returned to a farm near Wallingford in 1945.

Mrs. Kasa was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jamie Arthur Kasa, Wallingford; one daughter, Mrs. Gerald (Eunice) Wee, Wallingford; one granddaughter; one grandson; and one sister, Mrs. Lydia Hansen, Lacey, Washington.

Mrs. Kasa was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, one brother and two daughters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, December 28, 1978)
