Ex-Resident of Wallingford Dies; Rites Set
Mrs. Ruth Ivy Hull Wiles, 84, a former Wallingford resident, died Saturday [March 22, 1969] at 5:05 p.m. at the Good Samaritan Center here where she had been a resident for four years.

She was born Oct. 13, 1884, at Tipton, Ind., to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burris and was educated in Indiana. She was married Feb. 3, 1909 to Leslie Hull at Ashkum, Ill.

The couple lived awhile at Ashkum and later moved to Brewster, Minn., where they lived for one year. They also lived at Arnolds Park for one year and later moved to Estherville, where they lived until 1947 when they moved to rural Wallingford.

Her husband died in November of 1952. She returned to Illinois in 1953, where she married Samuel Wiles on Aug. 12, 1958 at Rennselear, Ind. He died in December of 1962. She returned to Estherville and resided here until her death.

She was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church. Survivors include: five sons, Melvin Hull, Jefferson; Myron Hull, Ashkum, Ill.; Marvin Hull, Churdan; Robert Hull, Newark, Calif.; Delbert Hull, Hudson, Ohio; and two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Mildred) Mickelson, Wallingford; Mrs. Francis (Maxine) Murphy of Chebanse, Ill

Survivors also include 34 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, three sisters, one brother and three grandsons.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Wallingford Lutheran Church, with burial at the Wallingford Cemetery. Rev. John Pannkuk will officiate.

Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home, Estherville, until noon Tuesday.

Pallbearers will be Lester Larsen, Trygve Larsen, O.V. Smith, Art Kerr, Wayne Weber and Joe Sifrit. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 24, 1969)
