Funeral Rites Friday for C.L. Hull, 67
C.L. [Chancie Leslie] Hull, 67, farmer in the Estherville area for the last 22 years, died yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Holy Family Hospital. Mr. Hull suffered a paralytic stroke two years ago in May and has been in poor health since then. He had been bedfast for about the last month.Mr. Hull was born May 29, 1885 in Chebanse, Ill., where he received his education and grew to manhood. He lived in the Chebanse area until 1930 when he moved to Emmet county, farming west of Wallingford and south of Estherville since coming to the Estherville area.
He was married Feb. 3, 1909 to Ruth Ivy Burris at Rensaellaer, Ind.
Survivors include his widow, five sons, Melvin of Estherville, Myron of Chebanso, Ill., Marvin of Estherville, Robert of Chebanse, and Delbert of Waterloo; two daughters, Mrs. Norman (Mildred) Mickelson of Wallingford and Mrs. Frances (Maxine) Murphy of Chebanse; a stepson, Clifford Chaudoin of Chebanse; 26 grandchildren, one great granddaughter and two brothers, Elmer of Raub, Ind., and Elza of Cullom, Ill. His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.
Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Sternborg funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Wallingford Lutheran church with the Rev. C.B. Gunderson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery at Wallingford.
Pall bearers will be Rollie Pike, Orville Smith, James Colleran, John Plymesser, Lester Larson and Joseph Sifrit. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, November 19, 1952)
