Obituary of Mrs. Carrie Hansen [Hanson]
Mrs. Carrie Hanson was born in Hallingdal, Norway, Nov. 16, 1856.

She was married to Mr. Edward Hanson in 1881, came to American in 1883 and to Wallingford in 1890. She died in the hospital at Estherville on October 25, 1919. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Wallingford and interment made in the cemetery by the church near Wallingford. The services were conducted by Rev. Hanson, assisted by Prof. Strand and J.O. Kasa.

She leaves one daughter, Mary (Mrs. Asher Peterson) and eight sons Carl O. Hanson of Fairview, S.D., Hans M. Hanson of Seattle, Wash., and Conrad, Chris, Julius, Edward, Emil and Otto; and one brother, Ole C. Olson and five sisters, Mrs. K.R. Haugen of Terril, Iowa, Mrs. James Johnson of Inwood, Iowa, Mrs. O.L. Rustad, Mrs. Edwin Osher and Mrs. O.O. Refsell of Wallingford.

She was a faithful member of the Lutheran church. (Estherville Enterprise, Estherville, IA, November 1, 1919)
