Death of Mrs. Ellingson
Mrs. Erick Ellingson died at her home in Twelve Mile Lake township, Thursday, Apr. 29, at the age of 69 years, after a brief sickness with pneumonia. Deceased has been a resident of Emmet county for over twenty years and was known to be a kind-hearted and noble woman. The funeral was held at the family home Sunday afternoon and the remains laid to rest in the Lloyd township [Dickenson County] cemetery. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, May 5, 1897)

Ellingson – In Lloyd township, April 20th, Mary Ellingson, wife of E. Ellingson, aged 66 years.
Deceased was an old resident of Lloyd, the family having resided there for more than twenty years. She was the mother of five children, all having died except one daughter. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon by Rev. J.A. Ellis (Spirit Lake Beacon, Spirit Lake, IA, May 7, 1897)
