Estherville – Services for Eithel M. Hansen, 79, will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran church with Pastor Jack Peterson officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery, Estherville. She died Friday, Feb. 28, 1997 at Good Samaritan Apartments, Estherville.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born April 30, 1917 in Estherville, the daughter of Harvey and Emma (Keller) Bunday. She attended Estherville Schools. Oct. 2, 1933 she married Henry (Hank) Hansen at Clarion. They lived in Clarion and Graettinger before moving to Estherville in 1937. She helped her husband with the bookkeeping for Hansen Transfer. They were later caretakers for Breezy Acres and the college dormitories. She has lived at Good Samaritan since Nov. 1, 1992. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son Harvey (Bud) of Estherville; daughters: Mrs. William (Mary) Thomas, Estherville; Mrs. James (Sandra) Ramsey, Eagle Grove; Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Pedersen of Gowrie; Mrs. Duane (Thelma) Soucek, Alpha, Minn.; Mrs. Herb (Grace) Cole, Iowa City; 24 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mrs. Bill (Betty) Jones, Britt and Mrs. Russell (Gerry) Crapser, Waterloo; step-brothers: Duane and Darrell Francis of Britt; sister-in-law, Donna Bunday, Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two step-fathers; husband who died Feb. 6, 1988; son; two granddaughters; one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 1, 1997)
