Funeral services for Mrs. Amos (Mae) Egeland, 76, of Wallingford, Ia., were Tuesday, March 31, 1981 at the Wallingford Lutheran church with the Rev. Virgil Anderson officiating. Interment was in the Wallingford Cemetery.

Mae, the daughter of Anders and Ann Jensen was born May 23, 1904, near Wallingford and received her education in country schools in the Wallingford area and attended Estherville High School.

She was married to Amos Egeland on December 11, 1929, at the home of her parents and the couple farmed south of Wallingford until moving into Wallingford in 1965. She was a member of the Emmet County Farm Bureau and Wallingford Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and a circle leader.

Mrs. Egeland is survived by two sons, Clifford S. Egeland, Graettinger and Marvin S. Egeland, Tucson Ariz.; six grandchildren; one brother, Art Jensen, Green Valley, Ariz.; and one sister, Helen Olson, Terril.

Mrs. Egeland died at her home on Friday, March 27, 1981.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four sisters, and five brothers. (Milford Mail and Terril Record, Milford, IA, April 2, 1981)
