Wallingford – Services for Mrs. Lewis (Emelia) Sevatson, 85, will be held Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at the Wallingford Lutheran Church with Pastor Virgil Anderson officiating. Interment will be in the Wallingford Cemetery. She died Monday, March 11, 1985 at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville after 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Emelia (Millie) [Matilda] Duhn was born April 9, 1899 at Graettinger, the daughter of Soren and Elsie (Petersen) Duhn and attended the Graettinger School. On August 10, 1921, she was united in marriage with Lewis Sevatson at Graettinger. The couple lived in Wallingford where they owned and operated a restaurant and hotel until 1943 when they moved to Richmond, Calif. and she worked in the shipyard during World War Two. In 1946 they moved back to Wallingford where they have lived since. She baked and decorated fancy cakes and was an avid bowler for many years. She was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Lewis; two daughters: Elaine Reynolds, Las Vegas, Nev. and Francine Jackson, Long Beach, Calif.; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one brother, Art Duhn, Graettinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters and five brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 12, 1985)
