Dropped Dead
Trond O. Myhre fell dead from a horse while driving his cattle from the pasture to the stable Monday evening at his home four miles southeast of this city. Heart disease is supposed to have been the cause of his death. He had complained for some time of not feeling well but being an industrious and willing worker continued his daily toil until death claimed him as above stated. Mr. Myhre was one of the oldest settlers of this county and has always been held in high esteem by his near neighbors and many friends throughout the county where he was so widely known. He leaves a wife, two daughters and three brothers to mourn his death. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at the Wallingford church. The deceased was 69 years of age at the time of his death. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, September 22, 1897)
