Obituary
The sad intelligence of the death of Clara Berg will be a blow to her many friends in this city. She died Sunday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.O. Berg, in the southeast part of town. The malady of which she has been a patient sufferer for three years and which culminated in her untimely death was the dread consumption, having been only about two weeks abed. Miss Berg was an estimable young lady twenty-three years of age, and was loved and respected by all who knew her. This is the fourth death of consumption which has occurred in the Berg family. The funeral of Miss Berg will be held today at 12:00 o’clock at the Norwegian church in this city. (Estherville Democrat, Estherville, IA, May 15, 1901)

Miss Clara Berg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.O. Berg died at the family home, at Estherville after an illness of three years of consumption, at an age of twenty-three years. The funeral was held at twelve o’clock Wednesday from the Norwegian church. The deceased was a most estimable young lady. (Terril Tribune, Terril, IA, May 24, 1901)
