John Aanonson, who lived south of Maple Hill passed away Saturday [December 28, 1919] morning, death resulting from an attack of influenza. Miss Fern Williams whose parents live northeast of Estherville died from the same disease the latter part of last week. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, January 1, 1919)
