Estherville – Graveside services for Pastor Gary Clark Sabin, 33, of Avon, Ill. formerly of Estherville, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at East Side Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor David Stockeland of Des Moines officiating. He died Monday, July 9, 1990 at rural Avon.Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
He was born November 11, 1956 at Estherville, the son of Eldon and Gladys (Eisenhower) Sabin. He attended Estherville High School until January of 1972 when he moved to Garden Grove where he attended Morman Trail High School and graduated in 1975. He then attended Calvary Baptist Bible College in Kansas City, Mo. On April 30, 1977 he was united in marriage with Julie Olson at Des Moines. He graduated from College in 1980, then served congregations at Anamosa Bible Church and Check Row Community Church in Avon. He was a member of the Check Row Church.
Survivors include his wife Julie of Avon; parents, Eldon and Gladys Sabin, rural Estherville; one son Joel and three daughters: Gina, Jana and Jill all of Avon; grandmothers Helen Eisenhower of Estherville and Alma Sabin, Armstrong; two brothers: Dennis Sabin, Weldon; Roger Sabin, Estherville and a sister Nancy Sabin, Osceola.
He was preceded in death by his two grandfathers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, July 11, 1990)
