Estherville Man’s Rites Set Friday
Estherville – James Mitchell York, 25, of Estherville, died early Wednesday [August 14, 1974] morning at Holy Family Hospital. York was born March 17, 1949 in Estherville. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Donald York.

In April 1965, he married Patricia Forbes at Quincy, Ill. They lived in Illinois for a time and then moved to Estherville a few years ago.

He was employed at Arts-Way Manufacturing Co. in Armstrong at the time of his death. He is survived by two daughters, Angela, 3, and Dawn, 4, and one son, James Jr., 7; his mother, Mrs. Ora York, Estherville; his father, Donald York, Riverton, Ill.; one brother, Bob York, Hartford, S.D.; and a grandmother, Mrs. Mae Anderson, Estherville.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Christian Church in Estherville with the Rev. Fred Sawyer officiating. Burial will be in the Spirit Lake Cemetery.
