DALE G. JUHL
Dale Gordon Juhl the son of Clarence and Virginia (Murley) Juhl was born May 21, 1936 in rural Estherville, Iowa. He died Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Avera Holy Family Health in Estherville, Iowa at the age of 76.He received his education and graduated from Estherville High School in 1953. He attended college in Estherville and Mankato. Dale served for two years in the United States Army.
On October 31, 1981 he was united in marriage to Beverly Hansen Kaltved. The couple resided in Estherville and Dale worked 28 years as a postal carrier and retired in October of 1992. Dale and Bev enjoyed fishing trips to Minnesota with family and friends. They also enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and visiting National Parks. His favorite times were spending time with his children and grandchildren and following the Boston Red Sox and Iowa Hawkeyes. Dale also enjoyed bowling for many years.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a past member of the Elk's Lodge in Estherville.
Left to cherish Dale's memory are his wife, Bev of Estherville; children, Mary (Rick) Welch of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Phyllis (Mike) Martens of Estherville; Steve (Lora) Juhl of Iowa Falls, Iowa; Scott (Nicole) Juhl of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; step-children, Jeff (Susan) Kaltved of Carroll, Iowa; Kristy (Joel) Vos; Wade Kaltved all of Spirit Lake, Iowa; grandchildren, Leah Keene (Brent) and Molly Martens, Morgan and Gordon Welch, and Emma, Madalyn, Grace and Lauren Juhl; Brayden, Bennett and Brynlee Juhl; Hannah and Justin Kaltved; Jacob and Mackenzie Vos; brother, Arvin Juhl of Estherville and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He has been preceded in death by his parents, brother, Dennis Juhl and sisters-in-law, Shirley Juhl and Jane Juhl.
Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery, Estherville, IA (MC)
