Funeral notices were received by this paper of two former residents of this county, Mrs. Frances M. Lawton, who died at Medford, Oregon on March 14th and George H. Haskins, who died at the same place on March 21st. This makes three deaths in the family within a short time. The death of R.T. Lawton was chronicled in this paper only a few weeks ago. Mrs. Lawton was 81 years of age, and Mr. Haskins the son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Lawton, was 62 years of age. Mr. Haskins was formerly in the drug business in Estherville. The family have lived in Oregon about twenty-five years. (Vindicator and Republican, Estherville, IA, April 10, 1907)
