Estherville – Funeral services for Snoden Wedebrand, 76, of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 1998, at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home at Estherville with Pastor Jack Peterson officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery, Estherville with full military graveside rites by VFW Post 3388 and American Legion Post 91 of Estherville. He died on Saturday, March 21, at Holy Family Health Services in Estherville.

Visitation will be from 5-7 at the funeral home in Estherville.

He was born on August 31, 1921, at Jackson, Minn., the son of Ivar and Jessie (Carter) Wedebrand. He received his education in the Jackson schools. He served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He was united in marriage to Irene Kinnetz in Estherville. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Estherville. He was employed by Tobin Packing Company prior to entering the plastering business. He was employed by Lowell Johnson Plastering for a number of years before starting his own business, Northwest Plastering, which he operated until his retirement.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a lifetime member of VFW Post 3388.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Wedebrand of Estherville; brothers, Arlen Wedebrand of Estherville; Boral Wedebrand of Jackson; sister, Thora Jenkins of Minneapolis, Minn.; half-brother, Jerry Olson of Eagan, Minn.; half-sisters, Lorna Richardson of Florida and Marlys Gulbranson of Crystal, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 23, 1998)
