Estherville – Services for Mrs. John (Ethel) Wee, 85, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the First Presbyterian church with the Rev. John Bowe officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 1985 at Holy Family Hospital.Friends may call at the Fuhrman Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Thursday.
Ethel A. [Amelia] Misener was born March 3, 1899 at Wallingford, the daughter of George and Katie (Andersen) Misener. She attended Wallingford School. On April 14, 1917 she was united in marriage with John Edwin Wee at Estherville where they lived following their marriage. He was employed by the Rock Island Railroad. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and ladies auxiliary to the United Transportation Union.
She is survived by three sons: Gerald Wee, Wallingford; Merlin Wee, Estherville and Robert Wee, West Covina, Calif.; two daughters: Vernice Challberg, Sacramento, Calif. and Mrs. Jerry (Sheryl) Nauss, Estherville; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Wee was preceded in death by her husband on July 1, 1975; parents; two grandsons and one great-great-granddaughter. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, February 7, 1985)
