Estherville – Services for Kathryn Weber, 67, of Estherville, will be held today at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Estherville, with the Rev. David Wendel officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery in Estherville. She died May 29, 1994 at the Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She was born December 5, 1926 in Estherville, the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth (Linge) Reinhardt. She received her education in Dolliver, graduating from Dolliver High School in 1944.
She taught school in Emmet County for three years. She was then employed as a bookkeeper in Minneapolis, Minn. Following her marriage to Robert Weber on June 2, 1951 in Dolliver, the couple lived in Jamestown, N.D. where she was employed by Midland Continental Railroad.
In 1960 the couple moved to a farm near Starbuck, Minn. She was an active member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Starbuck, where she taught Sunday school, was the first woman Deacon and president of A.L.C.W. She also served as president of Homemakers and a cub scout leader.
The couple retired and moved to Estherville in 1982. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville and president of the Naomi Circle.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Philip Weber of Tyler, Texas and Jeffrey Weber, Spicer, Minn.; one daughter, Marie Weber, Morris, Minn.; four grandchildren; five sisters, Ruth Klingbeil of Starbuck, Mrs. Guy (Ivadel) Eick, Terril, Mrs. Jim (Harriet) Brown, Armstrong, Mrs. Dick (Charlene) Niffenegger, Drasco, Ark. and Mrs. Ron (Elizabeth) Harris of Estherville and two brothers, Kenneth Reinhardt of Gruver and Edward Reinhardt, Illinois.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and her parents. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 1, 1994)
