E. Tomlinson, 46, Dies of Heart Attack
Edwin Amos Tomlinson, 46, rural Estherville, died suddenly at 6:20 p.m. Thursday [February 26, 1970] at the Brink Oil Company station from a heart attack.

He was born April 5, 1923, in Jack Creek Township to Mr. and Mrs. Amos Tomlinson. He was educated in the rural Emmet County Schools.

He was married to Lois Yerkes in Fairmont, Minn., on Sept. 24, 1945. He had farmed all of his life in Emmet County and lived just east of Gruver for the past 20 years. For the past two years he had been employed by Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. of Estherville besides farming.

He is a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church south of Gruver.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; one son, Leland, student at University of Iowa at Iowa City; two daughters, Mrs. Ron (Patricia) Burg, Elmonte, Calif., and Annette, 7, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Wilbur Clouse, Farley and Mrs. Jerry Summers, Estherville; and one brother, Lyle Lough, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev. P. Lauritz Mork officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery, Estherville. Friends may call at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville after 7 p.m. on Saturday evening until 10 a.m. on Monday morning when the casket will be taken to the church.
