Last Rites for Ross Sidles on Monday
Last rites for Ross Sidles, 53, who died Friday at 9:30 a.m. at his home, are to be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church, Rev. Richard Pearson officiating. A family service at 1:30 p.m. will precede the church service. Burial will be in the East Side Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Reese-Henry Funeral Home from 6 p.m. today until noon Monday, when the body will be taken to the church.

Mr. Sidles, who was a lifetime resident of Emmet County, had been ill since April.

Ross Donald Sidles was born Nov. 30, 1915 at Huntington to Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Sidles. His mother was the former Della Tuttle.

He received his education in the Huntington schools and was married Sept. 22, 1938, to Evelyn Eunice Veilharz [Bielharz] at Spirit Lake.

Mr. Sidles farmed for 20 years and after that was a self-employed housemover. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Kenneth and Dwayne, both of Estherville; two daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Roxanne) Ehwegen [Von Ehwegan] of Terril and Janice Delores Sidles of Estherville; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Albert (Iva) Cole and Mrs. Anthony (Dorothy) Loftis, both of Estherville; seven brothers, Dewy of California, Elza, Leslie, and Earl, all of Estherville, James and Lawrence, both of Emmetsburg, and John of Jackson, Minn.

Mr. Sidles was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Floyd and W. R. Sidles.

Ross Dean Sidles of Estherville, formerly of Terril, passed away on Sept. 13, 1968 at the age of 52 years, 9 months and 13 days. Rev. Richard Pearson officiated at the funeral services held at the United Methodist Church in Estherville on Monday with interment at East Side Cemetery in Estherville. Survivors include his wife Evelyn of Estherville, two sons, Kenneth and Dwayne, both of Estherville, two daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Roxanne) Von Ehwagen of Terril and Janice Sidles of Estherville. There are three grandchildren, Scott and Brenda Sidles and Mark Von Ehwegen. Also survived by six brothers, Dewey of California, James of Emmetsburg, John of Jackson, Earl of Wallingford, Laurence of Emmetsburg and Leslie of Estherville; and three sisters, Elva of Estherville [s/b brother Elza], Mrs. Albert (Iva) Cole of Estherville and Mrs. Anthony (Dorothy) Loftis.
