Estherville – Funeral services for Ruth H. [Helen] Shrek, 96, of Wichita, Kan. Will be held at 2 p. on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the United Methodist Church in Estherville with the Rev. Lynn A. Potter officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery in Estherville. She died on Monday, Jan. 27, 2003 at Chaucer Estates in Wichita.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31 at the Henry-Olson-Furman Funeral Home in Estherville.

Ruth was born on Aug. 25, 1906 in New Market, the daughter of Charles and Nancy (Clark) Love. She graduated from New Market High School.

On July 12, 1925, she was united in marriage to Brodie Shreck. The family moved to Estherville in 1940 Brodie died in 1986. In September of 1999, Ruth moved to Wichita to be with her family.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Barbara Lee and her husband, John of Wichita; grandchildren and their spouses, Beth and Brad Biehler, David and Donna Lee, Laura and Simon Norman; and Kathy and Mark Schulte; great-grandchildren: Travis Biehler, Derek and Alex Lee; Ryan and Jake Norman; Nicholas, Megan, Madeline and Allie Schulte.
