Mrs. Herman Schmidt died Wednesday at her home in Ellsworth township after a sickness of only a few weeks. Her death was caused by an abscess of the stomach. She was only twenty-six years of age at the time of her death and had been married only four months. She was a daughter of Mr. KcKanna [William McKenna] of Emmet township and was a generous and kind-hearted lady. Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church in this city at one o’clock Saturday afternoon and the remains interred in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The many friends of the deceased in this city and in the township where she resided extend their deepest sympathy to the bereaved relatives during their hours of profound sorrow.
