Estherville – Henry [“Sonny”] Schroeder, 40, of Spirit Lake died on Monday, March 5, 2001.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 7 at 2 p.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville.

Visitation is 10 a.m. until time of the service on Wednesday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 6, 2001)

Henry Schroeder passed away March 5, 2001 in Estherville. Funeral services were held at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Dr. Mike Thiel officiating.

Interment was at the East Side Memorial Cemetery [East Side Cemetery] in Estherville.

Henry Thomas “Sonny” Schroeder was born May 31, 1960 in Iowa City to Warren G. and Ruth (Keeler) Schroeder. Sonny attended school in Estherville and received his GED degree in 1979. He later attended Jackson Technical College for two years.

In 1978 he married Sheila Bell in Boon. He worked in the maintenance department at Iowa State University in Ames until 1987 when he moved to Estherville. He did construction work and worked at the VFW while in Estherville before moving to Spirit Lake in 1995.

On January 25, 1997, Sonny married Bobbi Weiskircher in Spirit Lake. He was presently working at Stylecraft in Milford.

Sonny was preceded in death by his father, sister Joyce, brothers-in-law Lloyd Baldwin and Bernard Haase and one nephew, Chad.

Surviving are his mother, Ruth Schroeder of Estherville, his wife, Bobbi; six children: Bred and Cody of Stratford, Amanda and her friend, Brian of Webster City, Randy, Natosha and Chelsie of Spirit Lake; one granddaughter; one brother, James Schroeder of Estherville; five sisters: Judy Haase of Lone Rock, Lorraine Keeler and her husband, Eldon of Estherville, Carol Beaver of Sioux Falls, S.D., Shirley Stiles and her husband, John of Ogden, and Linda Eden of Hebron, Neb.; and many nieces and nephews.

Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home, Inc. of Estherville was in charge of the arrangements. (Dickinson County News, Spirit Lake, IA, March 10, 2001)
