Estherville – Funeral services for Chad Schroeder, 17, of Estherville will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. He died July 12 at Aurora, Colo.

Visitation will be held after noon on Saturday, until time of services at the funeral home.

He was born March 6, 1982 in Estherville, the son of James and Sharon (Whitting) Schroeder.

He lived all of his life in Estherville. He completed his junior year at Estherville Lincoln Central High School.

He enjoyed baseball, basketball, bowling, swimming, riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing.

He was employed by Hy-Vee in Estherville, Daybreak Foods in Graettinger and APAC in Estherville

He is survived by his father, James Schroeder of Estherville; mother, Sharon Walsch of Los Angeles, Calif; paternal grandmother, Ruth Schroeder of Estherville; sister Robin Sandvig of Estherville; niece Amber Sandvig of Estherville; step-brother, James Anderson of Graettinger and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
