Mrs. Mouritsen’s Rites Tuesday
Ringsted – Mrs. Dagmar Mouritsen, 90, passed away Aug. 17 at the Good Samaritan Center in Estherville.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ringsted with the Rev. Gary Sahs officiating. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Mouritsen was born July 25, 1895 at Cedar Falls. Her parents were Hans and Morne Nielsen Davidsen. She received her education in Cedar Falls and moved with her parents to Ringsted in 1901.

On Feb. 17, 1908 she married Hans M. Mouritsen. They farmed near Ringsted until their retirement in 1942. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Betania Circle.

Mrs. Mouritsen is surived by two sons, Arnold Mouritsen, Estherville, and Gilbert Mouritsen, Spirit Lake; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, four brothers, John Davidsen, Osage, Thorvald Davidsen, Memphis, Tenn., Erick Davidsen, Ringsted, Harold Davidsen, Ottumwa; and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Linden, Ogden; and Mrs. Andy Anderson, Seattle, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and six brothers.

Pallbearers will be John Wiley, Axel Thompsen, Larry Hansen, Merrill Christiansen, William Hansen and Leo Sorenson.

Friends may call at the Henry Funeral Home in Ringsted until time of services. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 19, 1974)
