C.A. Randolph Dies at 77
Claude August Randolph, 77, Estherville, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 1972, at Holy Family Hospital with death attributed to a heart condition.Randolph was born Sept. 7, 1894, at Watertown, S.D., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Pierre Randolph. He received his education Renville, Minn., schools.
He was married to Metta Bouman April 18, 1923, in the Little Brown Church at Nashua.
He spent his early life in Renville, lived for a time in Minneapolis and then moved to Estherville in 1919 where he opened a tin and sheet metal business in 1937.
He attended the United Methodist Church in Estherville and was a charter member of the American Legion post here.
He is survived by his wife, Metta, Estherville; one son, Eugene G. Randolph, Redwood Falls, Minn.; two grandchildren, Donald and Debra Randolph, Redwood Falls; and one sister, Mrs. Blanche Kent, Excelsior, Minn.
His parents, one brother and a sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Reese-Henry chapel in Estherville, the Rev. Richard Pearson officiating. Burial will be in East Side cemetery.
Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville after noon Wednesday and until time of services Thursday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 8, 1972)
