Woman, 64, Dies of Heart Attack
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday for Mrs. Andrew (Bessie) Peterson, 64, Huntington, who died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday [October 29, 1969] at Holy Family Hospital from a heart attack. She had been ill for the past two weeks.

She was born Nov. 5, 1905, at Newell to Mr. and Mrs. William Shultz. She was educated in Newell and Emmet County. She came to the Huntington area in 1914 with her parents and has lived in the area since then.

She was married Feb. 15, 1924, to Andrew Peterson at Estherville. She was a member of the Triple E Club, First Presbyterian Church in Estherville and church women’s organizations.

She is survived by her husband of Huntington; four grandchildren; three brothers, Lyle, Bert and Lee, all of Estherville; and one sister, Mrs. Lynn Weir, Huntington.

She was preceded in death by her only child, a daughter, Mrs. Doris Dyhrkopp, Milford, who died Oct 23, 1968; her parents and two brothers.

Family services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the First Presbyterian Church, Estherville, followed by public services at 2 p.m., with Rev. H. Allen Wirtz officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery. Friends may call at Reese-Henry Funeral Home in Estherville from 3 p.m. Thursday until noon on Friday. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, October 30, 1969)
