Estherville – Services for Christina Petersen, 86, of Estherville will be held Wednesday, December 11 at 10:30 a.m. at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with Rev. Larry Willey officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery in Estherville. She died December 6, 1996 at Holy Family Hospital in Estherville.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

She was born October 4, 1910 in Superior, the daughter of Charles and Clara (Hodge) Christ. She received her education in the Superior schools graduating from Superior High School. She was married to Marvin [Malvin] Peterson [Petersen] on May 24, 1935 in Superior. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Estherville where Mr. Petersen was a longtime employee of the city of Estherville. She was employed at R.C. Brown and Wilder’s Clothing Stores for several years. Her husband died on September 2, 1980. She devoted her time to support groups at Holy Family Hospital and Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville.

Survivors include: two sons, Richard of Estherville and Robert of Okoboji; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
