Estherville – Services for Mrs. Robert (Jeanette M.[Marie]) Papenfuhs, 63, will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Estherville, with Pastor Richard Berger officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Tuesday, June 20, 1989 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.

Friends may call at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday.

Jeanette Walstead was born April 19, 1926 at Albert City, the daughter of Fred and Marie (Larson) Walstead. She attended and graduated in 1944 from the Albert City schools. On Sept. 3, 1945 she was united in marriage with Robert Papenfuhs at Fairmont, Minn. Following marriage the couple lived in Swea City before moving to Estherville in 1948. She had worked at Berkley & Co., Spirit Lake, for 20 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband Robert, Estherville; one son Craig, Zimmerman, Minn.; one daughter Mrs. Chuck (Linda) Hassel, Washington; four grandsons; one brother, Ronny Walstead, Laurens; two sisters: Janice McGuigan, Tucson, Ariz. and Mrs. Guy (Jo Ann) Mills of Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; one granddaughter and one daughter-in-law. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 22, 1989)
