Willard Moore
Estherville – Services for Willard Elmer Moore, 73, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. John Besore III officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. He died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 1989, at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn. Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 16, 1916 at Terril, the son of William and Elma (Enderson) Moore and attended country school and Estherville School. On July 7, 1938 he was united in marriage to Hazel Jones at Estherville. Following marriage they farmed until 1948 when they moved into town and he operated a tank wagon service for Cities Service and DX many years. He also worked at a service station for five years. He also worked at a service station for five years until retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and Elder and Deacon.

Survivors include his wife Hazel, Estherville; two daughters: Mrs. Chauncey (Carol) Oleson, St. Cloud, Minn.; Mrs. Jim (Jan) Brandenburg, Owatonna, Minn.; two sons: Kevin, Dolliver and Bill, Miami, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Hazel Sevatson, Spirit Lake.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 26, 1989)
