Estherville – Services for Elmer E. [Elroy] Moore, 96, Estherville, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Henry and Olson Funeral Home, Estherville, with the Rev. Max Goldman officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery.

Mr. Moore died Monday [April 23, 1979] morning at Rosewood Manor, Estherville.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Moore, he was born Dec. 30, 1882, at Preston. He attended rural Irvington schools and was married to Helen Bowman Dec. 2, 1909, at Estherville. He was a barber in Estherville for more than 50 years.

Mr. Moore is survived by one son, Lawrence Moore, Jerome, Idaho; one grandchild; one great grandchild; and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Claude Randall, Estherville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, daughters, parents, four sisters and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 24, 1979)
