Estherville – Funeral services for Barbara Ann Moffitt, 64, of Estherville will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 16 at the United Methodist Church in Estherville with the Reverend Lynn A. Potter officiating. Interment will be held at East Side Cemetery in Estherville. She died on Monday, Aug. 13, 2001 at Avera Holy Family Health in Estherville.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.

Barb was born on Sept. 1, 1936 in Fairmont, Minn., the daughter of Clifford and Marjorie (Evans) Clark. She has lived in Estherville most of her life. She received her education in the Estherville schools and graduated from Estherville High School in 1954.

On June 14, 1956, Barb was united in marriage to Maurice Moffitt in Estherville. She was employed at Berkley’s in Spirit Lake for 28 years and she retired in May of 2000. Maurice passed away on Nov. 21, 1978.

Barb was a member of the United Methodist Church in Estherville. She enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends. She also enjoyed her flower garden, collecting Beanie Babies, reading and refinishing furniture.

Barb is survived by her two daughters, Denise Nicol and her husband, Pat of Estherville and Laurinda Pytelski and her husband, David of Jackson, Minn.; two grandchildren, Jill and Jason Nicol of Estherville; three brothers, Kenneth Clark and his wife, Shirley of Tempe, Ariz., Robert Clark and his wife, Linda of Pocahontas and Charles Clark and his wife, Donna of Grimes and two sisters, Sharon Clark of Uraguay, South America and Linda Anderson and her husband, Loren of Gruver.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; grandson, Clay Maurice Pytelski in 1986; brother Donovan Clark; grandparents and step-mother, Byrniele Clark. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 14, 2001)
