Mesa, Ariz. – Funeral services for Gladys McDonough, 88, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Estheville, will be held Thursday, June 3 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mesa. Interment will be held at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Mesa. She died Sunday, May 30, at --- Hospital.

[She was born] July 18, 1910 in – the daughter of Thomas and [Bertha (Reimer) Juhl]. She was united in marriage to Arthur West on June 9, 1926. Arthur died on October, 1959. She then married Floyd McDonough on Sept. 30, 1961, He died September 1997.

She is survived by four children, Wayne West of Estherville, Virgil West of Wallingford, Joyce Alger and Larry West of Mesa; a sister, Vivian Goodwin of Dubuque; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and four grandchildren. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 1, 1999)
