Mesa, Ariz. – Funeral services for Floyd McDonough, 93, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Estherville, will be held Saturday, Sept. 20 at Lakeshore Mortuary in Mesa. Interment will be held at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Mesa. He died on Wed. Sept. 17 at Mesa Lutheran Hospital.

He was born on November 16, 1903 in Superior, the son of James and Lettie McDonough. He graduated from Superior High School. He was united in marriage to Gladys West on September 30, 1961.

He is survived by wife, Gladys of Mesa, step-children Wayne West of Estherville, Virgil West of Wallingford, Joyce Alger and Larry West of Mesa, Carol Moller of Estherville; Virgil Fry of Hollywood, Calif.; 18 grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Verle McDonough, sister Blanche Miller and wife Hazel. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, September 18, 1997)
