Estherville – Services for Beulah Mallum, 88, of Estherville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wed. June 3, 1998, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Estherville with the Rev. Paul Wiegman officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. She died on May 30 at Holy Family Health Services, Estherville.Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
She was born on December 20, 1909, in Mapleton, the daughter of Joe and Nellie (Dale) Golden. She received her education in the Mapleton schools.
On Jan. 29, 1927, she was united in marriage to Sever Mallum in Soldier. After the marriage, the couple lived in Harlan, Soldier, Red Oak, Elk Horn and Audubon. She worked as a dietary-aide at the hospital in Audubon. In 1966, the couple moved to Estherville. She has been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center since 1988.
She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Roy (Marilyn) Lybarger of Genesco, Ill.; daughter, Elaine Allen of Harlan; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son and two brothers. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, June 1, 1998)
