Royce Roland Lyle, the son of Roy R. and Phyllis G. (Beck) Lyle, was born August 20, 1949, in Estherville, Iowa. He died Friday, January 5, 2007, at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 57.

He was baptized and confirmed at First Presbyterian Church in Estherville. He received his education in the Estherville schools, graduating in 1967. After graduation from high school he attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, and graduated in 1971, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

Royce was united in marriage to Kristine Jones on September 25, 1982, in Iowa City. Royce was a Receiving Manager at the K Mart store in Iowa City. He also enjoyed playing with various bands in the Iowa City area.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Estherville.

Left to cherish Royce's memory are his mother, Phyllis Lyle of Estherville; sister, Lynette Eckholt of Mason City, Iowa; and special friend, Kristine Jones of North Liberty, Iowa.

Royce has been preceded in death by his father. (MC)
