Estherville – Services for Helen Love, 79, of Estherville, will be held Monday, Aug. 18, 1997 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Estherville with Pastor Glenn Bohmer presiding. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery at Estherville. She died on August 7 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home in Estherville.
She was born August 18, 1917 in Terril, the daughter of Henry and Olive (Hanke) Clemenson. She attended Superior High School where she graduated in 1935. On Oct. 10, 1939 [1938], she was married to Gerald Love at Sioux Falls. The couple lived in Emmet County where they farmed west of town for many years. She also worked several years at L.M, Christensen Clothing Store in Estherville and Iowa Trust and Savings Bank. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Stick to it Club, vice president of Homestead Housing and helped deliver meals on wheels.
Survivors include sons Jon of Trinidad, Colo., Paul of Estherville, daughter Mrs. David (Carolyn) Smith, Kingfisher, Okla.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband who died May 15, 1990, parents and one brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, August 12, 1997)
