Estherville – Services for Mrs. Edith Mary Lamack, 87, will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Jolivette officiating. Interment will be in East Side Cemetery. She died Monday, Feb. 27, 1989 at Holy Family Hospital.

Visitation will be from 3 – 9 p.m. Thursday at Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Home.

Edith Mary Ramsey was born Dec. 16, 1901 at Dedham, Iowa, the daughter of John and Emma (Wilson) Ramsey, and attended rural Carroll County schools. On Dec. 12, 1925 she was united in marriage with John Lamack at Jackson, Minn. Following marriage the couple lived a short time in Rock Falls, Ill., moving to the Estherville area where they were engaged in farming until retirement in 1960, later moving into Estherville. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and Eunice Circle.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. James (Loyce) Braband, Spirit Lake; two sons: Maynard, Estherville and Donald, Alpha, Minn.; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Lyle Ramsey, Estherville and one sister, Ruth Smith, St. Cloud, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John who died in January 1965; one daughter; one son; infant granddaughter, three brothers and three sisters. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, March 1, 1989)
