Estherville – Funeral services for Paul Kraft, 72, of Estherville will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 1998, at the Henry-Olson-Fuhrman Funeral Chapel in Estherville with the Rev. Mack Gabbard officiating. Interment will be at East Side Cemetery, Estherville. He died on Monday, March 30, at Holy Family Health Services at Estherville.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. today, Wednesday, at the funeral home in Estherville.

He was born on March 8, 1926, in Rockwell City, the son of Louis and Inez (Nixson) Kraft. He received his education in the Rockwell City schools. On July 30, 1945, he was united in marriage to Betty Vauble of Sac City. After their marriage, the couple moved to Estherville. He was employed by Tobin Pack and later for John Morrell Inc., retiring in 1982.

He is survived by his wife Betty of Estherville; sons, Dennis Kraft of Estherville and Terry Kraft of Estherville; grandchildren: Marshall Kraft, Brent Kraft, Chris Kraft, Mrs. Martin (Melissa) Irmiter, and Kathryn “K.C.” Kraft; brother, Leo Kraft of Minnesota and sister, Orphia Steinblock of Heron, S.D.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister and a half-brother. (Estherville Daily News, Estherville, IA, April 1, 1998)
